Fand always rejoice when their favourite stars get hitched. Same happened when actors Faizan Sheikh and Maham Aamir got married recently. The couple had their wedding ceremony in August confusing many since people thought they married a few months ago. Faizan shared that the death of a loved one in his family caused them to move the date of the wedding ahead. They finally had their wedding festivities in August. Maham and Faizan had a funny proposal story to share. Faizan asked Maham to marry him while they were travelling somewhere. Maham just said yes and asked him to increase the volume of the song playing in the background. Faizan was both awestruck and confused at the sudden “yes” but the short proposal ended up as a lifelong commitment between these two.

Maham also said that she will keep working as her mother in law Parveen Akbar still works even after the marriage of her children, so being a working woman is not at all an issue in the family.

Maham and Faizan went to Turkey for their honeymoon as it was a place Maham always wanted to see.

Naheed Akhtar is the nightingale of Pakistan the name that needs no introduction. Her career began in 1970 when she sang a duet with Khalid Asghar in “Raag Malhar” at Radio Pakistan Multan. Nida Yasir had married Yasir Nawaz in the early years of her acting. She tied the knot with her co star in 2002. Yasir Nawaz’s father Fareed Nawaz Baloch was a popular actor of his times, and Yasir himself is an actor, producer and director.

Nida has three lovely kids. Her elder children, Fareed and Silah are quite close in age. After a gap, Nida had another child Balaj when she was already an established morning show host, hence the now four year old has appeared on the screen many times with his mother.

Nida is famous for her role Saima in Hum Tum serial. Then she worked in Nadaaniyan which was a comedy drama, along with her husband Yasir Nawaz and his younger brother Danish Nawaz. She had also been the co producer of Nadaaniyan and another serial Baal Baal Bachgaye. Nida has also produced a comic movie Wrong Number.

Atif Aslam always lends his magical voice to National songs which always bring forward the emotions present in the hearts of Pakistanis all over the world. For Defence Day, Atif again collaborated with ISPR and released the new song “Humain Pyar Hai Pakistan Se”. Atif Aslam performed the song live during the Defence Day Ceremony where he was also seen sporting his Tamgha e Imtiaz. All the other stars including Humayun Saeed, Maya Ali, Hareem Farooq and Ali Rehman Khan who hosted the event also joined him on stage to give tribute to the brave soldiers of Pakistan.

Even on a red carpet interview Sana explained that it is amazing to see Pakistani industry flourish and even though she has worked in many movies being a part of HUM family is still an absolute honor.

Sumbal Iqbal’s sister Kompal Iqbal recently joined the entertainment industry. Kompal Iqbal has been part of many television commercials, she has also done some modeling projects and has also been seen playing supporting roles in dramas. It has only been a year since Kompal Iqbal started working in showbiz after completing her bachelors degree in Social Sciences. She has high hopes for her future. While giving an interview to Mag The Weekly Kompal Iqbal shared,

“I have a lot planned for the next five years in terms of what I will be doing with both, my profession and life. Without planning, one can’t handle things smoothly; therefore, ground work is very important. There are movies and a lot of other things that I am considering to do in the upcoming years.”

Kompal also shared what her motto in life was. She said,

“My life’s motto is to do my best, so I can’t blame myself for anything. When your inner self is satisfied and you believe in Allah, it keeps you away from negativity and you automatically feel surrounded by peace.”

She walked the ramp wearing Zainab Salman’s debut bridal couture collection ‘Bazeech-e-Isq’.
