Make up artist Adnan Ansari uploaded a video to his Instagram. In the video, Mahira can be seen walking like a swan. Adnan seems to be insisting her to tell him and of course everyone what she is up to. Mahira after blushing replies that she is just touring Lahore. Shah Rukh Khan, who is set to star with actor Mahira Khan and acclaimed Indian actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the forthcoming film Raees, is all praises for them. He said he would now have to pull up his socks to perform as well as the two actors.

“Mahira Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui are there in the film. Both of them are very accomplished actors. I think the cast is really wonderful,” Shah Rukh said on Monday at the launch of Dabboo Ratnani’s annual calendar.

“Now, I would have to excel and perform like them,” added the actor, who is set to join the film’s shoot by March end. Mahira, who became popular in India with her successful TV show Humsafar, will be seen as Shahrukh’s leading lady in Raees.

Shah Rukh, who has already met Mahira and seen her television work, is quite impressed with her talent. “Rahul (Dholakia) liked her. She suited the film a lot. I have seen a small part of her television work. I have met her and she is marvellous actor,” the 49-year-old said. To be directed by Dholakia, Raees is being co-produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani.

The veteran actor Firdous Jamal made an appearance on Faysal Qureshi’s morning show,  Salaam Zindagi.

He blurted, “You didn’t even ask me what I think. I’m sorry to say if someone likes it or not, but Mahira is not heroine stuff. She’s a mediocre sort of a model, she’s not a good actress and is not a heroine.

She’s quite aged as well and we don’t have heroines at this age, they only play the characters of mothers”, added the 65-year-old actor.

His statement took internet by fire and celebrities including; Faysal Qureshi, Osman Khalid Butt, Gohar Rasheed, Humayun Saeed and others came out in support of Mahira Khan.

They took Twitter to show their immense support for Mahira.

Tamasha is a popular Pakistani reality show which was launched by ARY Digital in 2022. The format of the show was inspired by Big Brother and Big Boss.
