O Rangreza Episode 12 Review – Interesting!
Ohkay so, now the story of O Rangreza is moving forward with a very fast pace & I am absolutely loving the treatment the director has given to the story. It is good that every single episode brings forth something new, something different with it which gives viewers a completely new perspective of the characters and the situations that they are faced with!
So, Tipu came back and even though the dynamics of Khayyam’s family changed from the surface, deep down everything remained the same. Tipu takes after Khayyam too, he is least bothered about what his mother is going through because he is too busy with his own life & it looked like he is one of those who would never see a fault in what a man does, that is why despite knowing that Khayyam was openly having an affair with Sonia & he was living at her place, all Tipu did was laugh it out! Mumtaz really has a lot of expectations from Tipu & that is why she thought out of all the people, at least he’d be the one who will sympathize with her after hearing how Khayyam left her for Sonia Jahan but his reaction once again proved that even in Tipu’s heart, she has no value, no importance & he is his father’s son too!
Since Sassi has stepped out of her comfort zone for the first time, she is in an environment where nothing revolves around her, that is why she is finding it hard to have things her way. Sassi assumed that she will cute her way into Wajih’s life & will convince him to dance on her tunes but Wajih is proving to be a good mentor who is teaching her how harsh life is going to be if she chooses to put herself out there, stick by her decision of going against her father’s wishes & doing what her she deems right. Sassi’s sadness had a lot of meanings & her continuous letters to Qasim did tell that even though she didn’t want to get married to him, she misses the friend in him!
Sonia Jahan is proving to be quite a mystery for Khayyam to solve. She does what Khayyam can not even imagine & she makes sure to go against what Khayyam expects from her. Sonia’s delay in getting married to Khayyam could mean two things, one that she wants Wajih back & is just using Khayyam to make him jealous so that he accepts her back or second, that she is afraid of what Khayyam will do to her when he will own her and give her his name after their marriage. Since Sonia Jahan has pretty much seen how Khayyam mistreats Mumtaz, a wife so obedient like her, Sonia’s hesitation seem justified and fair. Even though Khayyam has promised her a lot of things one of which is complete freedom but she knows that the moment she will give in, Khayyam won’t take a second in backing out from his word.
For the first time I felt Sonia Jahan was depressed, despite having everything, she longs for true love & may be that is why she was depressed, hence the incassant mention of death & incomplete love stories which ended with death as well. Khayyam actually thought that things will be pretty simple where he will propose & she will say yes while jumping with joy but Sonia Jahan has her own perspective, her own thought process, her own opinions and her own decisions, that is why she is not giving in & that is definitely frustrating Khayyam a lot.
I am actually intersted to see how dynamics will change further once Tipu will introduce his special friend to his family because when it comes to his own family members, he seems distant & aloof. Yes, he did try to show some interest in Sassi’s life where he wants her to be independent but when it comes to his mother, he is no different than Khayyam. I am kind of tired of seeing Khayyam holding Mumtaz responsible for everything, like their scenes & conversations have started to sound repetitive because all Mumtaz does is beg & all Khayyam does is hold her responsible for all the wrongs in their lives. I want to see if things will change or if they will continue to be the same.
Overall, this episode was pretty interesting. The actor playing the role of Tipu did a brilliant job but even though I know there won’t be an explanation for his personality, I want to know why he is the way he is. Sana Fakhar’s performance was brilliant in this episode, like her overall makeup & get up showed that she was mentally disturbed & depressed, which is commendable. I am definitely looking forward to the next episode. Please share your thoughts about this episode of O Rangreza.

Teri Raza Episode 15 Review – Ridiculous!
Ohkay so, this episode was reasonable but only because of Imtiyaz whereas if I go by what Suhana did or said, this was once again one ridiculous episode in my opinion!
It is absolutely disgusting how Suhana not only is cheating on Imtiyaz but upon asked, she like always, tried to make him feel guilty as if he committed a grave sin by asking her one simple question ‘where she was’. It is absolutely insane that Suhana thinks everyone’s worry & concern for her is something intolerable because she is supposed to answer everyone for her irrational behavior. I cringed really bad when Suhana bluntly told Imtiyaz that she was not answerable to him, well yes you are missy but then, since she is so beghairat that she can two time on her husband with her ex boyfriend, she obviously doesn’t deem it necessary to answer basic question that her husband asks her!
Another tantrum that Miss Suhana threw was when she found out that Imtiyaz was planning a trip for both of them. Obviously, she is going to hate the idea because in Paris, there would be no Rameez & since she is so beghairat that she can’t live a day without seeing him, she was mad & again tried to make Imtiyaz feel bad that he didn’t ‘seek’ her ‘permission’. Seriously, the way Suhana is using the business as an excuse to meet her boyfriend is sickening because it is the same business that has been sponsored by Imtiyaz. I just can not believe a character like Suhana where she is enjoying every single luxury of life because of Imtiyaz but her heart is with Rameez? No matter how cold-hearted you are, if you see someone doing so much for you, you tend to melt a bit but the writer only knows what Suhana is made of, since she is living a comfortable life but doesn’t leave an opportunity to make Imtiyaz feel that he is falling short of his responsibilities!
The way Suhana threw a tantrum & insulted her mother in law only because Imtiyaz asked her the reason for being late made me feel like she should’ve been thrown out of his house immediately because she is wrong, she has been wrong all along but still Imtiyaz & Sitara are putting up with everything she does only because they are a decent people & they have no idea what a twisted psycho Suhana is! I am impressed at how comfortably Suhana lies to Imtiyaz on his face, when he tried to ask her who Rameez liked, she easily denied saying she had no idea, like seriously, the girl has been spending more time with him than she does with Imtiyaz, so she thinks Imtiyaz is going to buy that she has no idea who Rameez is after?
I loved that Jeena told everything to Imtiyaz but just when I thought he will put two & two together, he told Jeena that he trusts Suhana a lot & that she shouldn’t be saying all this? Yes, I know that Imtiyaz loves Suhana to such an extent that he was actually in a denial but since he is mature enough, he should’ve analyzed Suhana’s behavior since day one to know that whatever Jeena said wasn’t a lie & the reason why Suhana was so cold towards him was Rameez. I think even now if Imtiyaz won’t call spade a spade, then he deserves whatever Suhana is directing towards him because then it will be like he himself is allowing Suhana to treat him as a doormat. Warrants Issued For Mufti Qavi In Qandeel Baloch Case!
Controversial celebrity Qandeel Baloch rose to fame by posting indecent stuff on social media. She became extremely famous and everything she did was covered vastly by the electronic media. Qandeel caused an uproar when she posted some selfies with Mufti Abdul Qavi on her account. As a result of this controversy, Qavi faced a lot of backlash from the masses and was stripped off his membership from both PTI as well as Ruet e Hilal Committee.
Qandeel was killed by her brother later. The case was termed as an honor killing and her brother Muhammad Waseem confessed to the heinous crime in front of the media. Mufti Abdul Qavi was also named in the FIR by Qandeel’s father. Over a year has passed and a court in Multan has issued non-bailable warrant of Qavi because he is not cooperating with the police.
Qavi on the other hand says that he is always at his madrissa and can be reached easily. He said that he has always coperated with the law and will keep doing so in the future as well.
Will Qandeel ever get justice? It is a question hard to answer!
Yaar e Bewafa Episode 15 Review – Heartwarming!
Ohkay so, now the story of Yaar e Bewafa has come to a point where they will be taking it forward based on different situations. Despite the slow pace, I enjoyed watching this episode because it revolved around a child and his emotions which was heart-touching.
Amna is still fending for her useless husband Saleem who in stead of appreciating or respecting her, only believes in degrading her. It is kind of off-putting to see Amna putting up with everything that Saleem dishes out to her. Yes, being loyal is a very appreciable trait but to literally let someone walk all over you isn’t.
It was sad that both Amna & Saleem couldn’t even afford school shoes for Omar. Zaid on his own was now thinking about Amna but even he was unable to comprehend why she was on his mind. Zaid’s unconscious call to Amna while taking care of Humera showed that he somehow grew accustomed to Amna’s presence in his house. Amna definitely has left an impression & that is why Zaid is unable to take her out of his mind.
Zaid’s decision of seeing Omar every now and then went to show that whenever he missed his child, he found solace in Omar. Zaid’s gesture of buying shoes for Omar was the highlight & my favorite part of this episode. Omar deserves all the happiness in the world but just because his father is useless and his mother is too busy playing the role of an obedient wife, they both neglect Omar & his very reasonable demands. Zaid obviously couldn’t see Omar crying so he bought him the shoes that he liked. The smile on Omar’s face was adorable & it was overwhelming to see him refusing to take the shoes at first because he knew that his mother would not approve.
Finally, Amna understood that Omar needed those shoes & since she was unable to afford them, she allowed him to keep them provided he hid it from Saleem because she knew what he would do. To be honest, seeing Saleem burning those shoes that too in front of Omar was sickening, like that man can not even provide a decent living to his family & then because of his sick ego, he decided to deprive Omar of a very little happiness that he had because he had the shoes that he liked. Even though it is a done deal that Amna would never take a stand for herself but I wish for the sake of her child, she tells Saleem off because what he did was absolutely wrong & he had no right to go to such an extreme to snatch away the little happiness that Omar had!
Looks like Fizza’s parents now want her to get married. I am sure the day Fizza will decide to get married, Zaid will get over her because even though they both are separated, they are still legally married. Since Fizza moved on just so easily because that was something that she wanted, I won’t be surprised if she will choose to get married to Ali, the guy her parents have chosen for her. Daldal Episode 9 – Review!
Ohkay so, as the episodes of this drama are progressing, they are showcasing the negativity of another level which by the way isn’t something alien to human beings. The story of this drama revolves around how selfish people can get and how blinded their agendas can make them.
Hira lost her father but unfortunately, even she knew what this news would do to her and her marital life. It was heart wrenching to see that in stead of mourning the loss of her father, Hira was far more concerned about Shuja’s reaction and his heart break because he was so excited to go to London. Hira has slowly and steadily understood what her husband is made of that is why despite being emotionally shattered, she was distracted and wasn’t concentrating much on her mother or the news of her father’s death!
Kamran got a job and on the other hand Saniya’s parents are pushing their limits to make Saniya’s in laws happy by meeting all their demands. Saniya has made it clear that she is not into the idea of getting married & even her brother is not too happy with Saniya’s in-laws-to-be but he can not say much because his parents are not keen on knowing what Saniya wants or who she wants to be with. Even though Kamran has finally bagged a job but not sure if he will be able to convince Saniya’s parents since they themselves are pretty materialistic and everyone knows the financial condition of Kamran’s family!
Saadat tried to knock some sense into Shuja & told him to get back to work because his dream of leaving for London couldn’t be materialized. Now that the dream of Shuja settling in London was pretty much over, Sakina grew cold towards Hira, to an extent that she didn’t even care that she was carrying a baby. Hira has done everything to please Shuja & his family, she has literally compromised everything to fit in their family but still, she doesn’t get treated with respect because both Shuja & his mother are on the same page & are now seeing her as a reason behind Shuja’s failure.
I must say, this drama is a decent watch but it still lacks that flavor to attract the viewership. Zahid Ahmed once again overacted in this episode, so much so that I didn’t mind skipping a few of his scenes. Yes, Zahid is portraying frustrations of a man who wants to give luxuries to his family but then, there was no need to overdo this character because he is annoying. Armeena Rana Khan has undoubtedly portrayed Hira’s character to perfection & I am definitely impressed. The preview of the next episode promised a lot more negativity & I really want to see how far both Shuja & Sakina can go. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Daldal.

Baaghi Episode 12 Review – Extremely Disappointing
This wasn’t the kind of episode which gives you a lot to talk about. Since this drama focuses entirely on Kanwal Baloch and there are no significant side tracks therefore Kanwal’s story needed to something more than just Kanwal being herself! This episode of Baaghi had to be the most difficult one to sit through. Kanwal’s antics were not the least bit entertaining especially because her character doesn’t have a lot to offer. Also, Kanwal’s rhetoric about her wanting to help her family doesn’t really go well with her background since her dream was to make a career in showbiz, to be a heroine, to be famous and not to be like all the other women around her, this thing about her wanting to help her family is forced. This is another attempt to make the viewers feel for her character, which would have been A-okay if this story wasn’t “inspired” by Qandeel Baloch’s story.
Since a lot of people keep on asking if this indeed is Qandeel Baloch’s real story, I have added a few videos of Qandeel Baloch’s interviews which clearly show that Qandeel enjoyed being who she was, she owned it completely unlike Kanwal Baloch who is lost! Qandeel liked the fact that she could afford a good lifestyle and she loved the “recognition” she got from her videos. Kanwal’s character however so far is completely different, she is not an attention seeker which Qandeel most certainly was. Also, Fauzia and Abid’s track is a mix of Qandeel’s version of the story and that of her husband’s. Qandeel always said in her interviews that her parents forced her to get married to this man but her husband said that it was a love marriage. After watching Qandeel Baloch’s interviews, I am even more disappointed in this drama since the writer completely failed to present Kanwal’s character in a way that it would be more like Qandeel Baloch. Apart from her weirdness, Kanwal doesn’t have a lot in common with Qandeel. I can’t help but compare Kanwal’s character with Sassi, while writing Sassi’s character, the writer did not hold back, he wanted to present a fierce girl on screen and he did just that without being apologetic which is why that character has much more screen presence. In an attempt to make a victim out of Kanwal’s character, the writer failed to pen down a character which would resonate with the viewers at some level.
After asking her husband to leave her over and over again, Kanwal now regrets leaving her home.! Qandeel on the contrary was never apologetic for her actions, she also did not regret leaving this man. The makers have made it quite clear that this is not a biopic but since they do accept the fact that it is “inspired” from true events therefore twisting these obvious details to make the viewers sympathize with the character is doing more harm than good! In her interviews Qandeel clearly stated she never liked the man she got married to and wasn’t interested in him – something which could have been shown easily on screen, if she got married to her bhabi’s brother. Taking the divorce was her decision and she owned it in real life, yet what we are watching in this drama is completely different. Therefore, all those people out there who are watching this show because they think that this is Qandeel’s story should actually tune into her actual interviews instead of tuning into Baaghi. It is sad that the makers of the drama used Qandeel’s name to promote this drama and to get the viewer’s attention but failed to do justice to her character! Trying to make a victim out of her only means that they didn’t really believe in who Qandeel really was and if that was the case then obviously the only motivation was TRPs!! As far as lessons are concerned, drama serials like Pinjra, Sammi, Udaari and many others are way ahead of the game!

Babar Khan Speaks For The First Time About Sana’s Death And His Life
Back in March 2014, we had all heard about the unfortunate accident that resulted in Pakistan’s First Miss Veet model turned actress Sana Khan’s death as the car in which she and her husband of three months Babar Khan were travelling enroute to Hyderabad crashed fatally. Then, in 2015, we got to know about Babar Khan’s second marriage to a girl in her teens, Bisma Khan. Babar had been out of the show I scene since Sana’s death, hence these news remained news and nobody knew the real story behind them.
Today, in Shaista Lodhi’s morning show, Babar Khan made an appearance and talked about everything that happened in his life since that unfortunate day. His was a love marriage and they had merely spent three months together when Sana unexpectedly left him for her eternal abode. Babar was extremely honest and vulnerable today by speaking of how it effected him. He told her that Sana’s demise had left him so depressed that he tried to take his life on many occasions after that. The aftermath of accident left him suicidal to the extent that he took sleeping pills and searched for different ways to attempt suicide while escaping the friends and family who swarmed him everyday, afraid for his own safety.
Shaista had also called his mother, Ishrat who spoke of a mother’s pain as she saw her only child slipping away in depression helplessly. She told of the day of accident when Babar refused to recognise anyone else except the dead body of his beloved wife. He had spilt open his head in the accident which he never got stitched and the wound got infected and he also developed seizures due to a blood clot in his brain as he did not want any medical intervention for himself after Sana’s death, so intent was he on passing away with her.
He seemed like an extremely loving husband to Sana, but sadly she could not live long enough to indulge in his love and care. Their love story and his condition after her death seems like one out of movies but it is true and very very saddening.
Shaista Lodhi then called Babar’s second wife Bisma and their kids Maryam and Ibrahim on the show. Babar told her how the birth of his daughter Maryam gave him the courage and happiness to move forward in a life that had lost all charm for him.
Bisma Khan is a beautiful young girl who got married to him after her matric and did inter later. The two married in 2015 and she is already a mother twice. Speaking of her experience with Babar Khan, she told in a gentle manner that she agreed to this marriage for her parents’ sake and that Babar had already told her about his love for Sana which she understood.
The adorable young bride told that she had found it confusing and difficult to adjust with him earlier and even through pregnancy but when Babar took their little girl in his arms for the first time, he was a changed man altogether.
Shaista then probed them about their love life and made Babar say romantic dialogues to Bisma which seemed a little forced, even though he appears to be a good and caring husband for his second wife as well, even though not as romantically inclined, which makes a lot of practical sense. His union with Sana was stuff made out of dreams, mystified more by her early demise. His marriage with Bisma is based more on life’s practicalities, especially since they are parents to two under two at the moment.
All in all, it was one of Shaista Lodhi’s best shows where the guests and even the host actually had a real topic to talk about. It was a sad but meaningful one and you walk away with the messages of not taking any loved one for granted as life is very unpredictable and that it goes on. People closer to you than life pass away but life goes on.
Watch The Teasers Of Yumna Zaidi’s New Play
Entertainment industry is defined by glamour, style and appearances. However, there are some actors who are still best known for their performing and acting skills. Sadia Khan’s Birthday Bash
Sadia Khan is very pretty actress who has played powerful roles in a number of plays. Her good looks and style make her very popular. Recently she celebrated her birthday with friends and family and we have some clicks of the event for you. Most of them appear to be with her co star and close friend Imran Abbas. Here, have a look;
Noor Comes To Morning Show In Hijab !!
Yesterday’s Nida Yasir’s show was about the theme of Mayoon. She had invited many celebrities like Benita, Nadia Hussain, Aliya Sarim, Isha Noor and Umm e Raheel. There was a lot of chaos, mehndi, dholki, fancy wear and jewellery. However, one celebrity that stood out among all the rest was Noor Bukhari. She was dressed up just like the rest of them with a heavily embellished shirt and silk sharara kind of bottoms but she had also donned a heavy matching dopatta, and not only hanging in style ; her dopatta was draped all over her head and upper body in full hijab style.
Yes it is surprising, as we have never seen Noor like this earlier, but since her divorce with her third husband, Hamid Wali Khan, she announced that she wants to study and promote religion and wishes to only attend religious programs. Well, this one wasn’t exactly religious but Noor Bukhari’s attire certainly was…
Meesha Shafi Went All Nina Simone and We’re “Feeling Good”
Meesha Shafi opened the fashion show wearing Ali Xeeshan’s created fitted glittery white jumpsuit and performed none other than Nina Simone’s “Feeling Good” and boy! it was dazzling.
She made the Magnum Party 2k17 live up to it’s reputation of “for the pleasure seekers”, the surrealism is breathtakingly gorgeous.
Paired with the eye mask Meesha looked so Lady Gaga-ish it was brilliant. Here’s a clip from the event.
All that projection makes her look nothing less than a living breathing work of art herself.

He has always supported his wife Sadaf. Sadaf launched a collection named after her daughter Elayana. Husband Fawad and both the kids were there to cheer mommy. Magnum Party 2k17 for the Fashion Seekers
Magnum is a word synonymous to the world of food, pleasure and fashion. Magnum Chocolate Party is an annually held fashion event which was first held back in 2012, ever since then it’s been a platform known to all designers, models, actors, singers in short the whole fashion industry. The event is super grand and the grandeur of art in it is aesthetically pleasing to all senses.
Magnum Chocolate Party presented A Chocolate Affair this year in Lahore and it was “wowzah” through and through. Take a look.
The event was all star studded and dipped neck down in chocolate, let us know what you loved and what you didn’t love about the event down in the comments section.
Rangreza’s New Song is a Love Odyssey
This Bilal Ashraf, Urwa Hocane and Gohar Rasheed starrer is back on our radar again with it’s new song “Bagiya” which is brimming with love and all that’s beautiful in this world.
The lyrics are sure to give you those desi love song feels as Jonita Gandhi’s melodious voice transports you into another world.
Now close your eyes, lay back and let the music work it’s magic on you.
We’d love to hear what you have to say about this new song, all aboard the comments section.
Ushna Shah Vs Moral Brigade Vol 2
Ushna Shah recently attended the Magnum Party event 2017 in her Erum Khan sizzling hot red number, while some found Ushna dazzling others were there with the derogatory comments I don’t find fit enough to be mentioned here.
The actress went through the same episode not long ago when she wore Zuria Dor contemporary, short number in grayish-silver at the Lahore premier of Punjab Nahi Jaongi and the dress was dubbed “too revealing”.
Ushna being Ushna took it to her social media and dealt with all the haters herself.
This being another day of her being caught in the middle of cross fire between the bold fashion world and moral brigade. Here are the pictures from the event.
We haven’t heard if this was enough to get a reaction from the actress herself so far but we’re here to keep an eye on the story and keep you updated.
If you have anything to add to the story, you know what to do.
Yakeen Ka Safar Episode 26 Review – Intense!
Ohkay so, what an intense episode of Yakeen Ka Safar where everything fell into its right place & the most important character & track got the closure that we all were waiting for. Even though I am glad that they gave a closure to Daniyal’s track in a very concise manner however I found a little flaw in the information that was handed out which I will discuss later but let me just say, whatever I will speak about won’t take away the fact that this episode was phenomenal & all the emotions attached to Daniyal & his death were conveyed beautifully yet again. Daniyal is going to be one such character that is always going to hold a special place in the viewer’s hearts that is why it feels good to know that his name got cleared & his family got the answer that they were looking for.
When this episode began, I thought I will title this review as ‘love is in the air’ because Zubiya pushed her agenda of telling Haroon to consider Gaiti as his life partner. Even though Dr. Haroon at first seemed hesitant but before approaching Gaiti, he decided to spend some time with her son, only to understand him better & to see if Gaiti as a mother will be comfortable with the idea of Dr. Haroon being around her only child, which I found quite gentlemanly of him. To be honest, for the first time I enjoyed watching Hira & Mani in one frame together. Even though they both are playing such beautiful characters but to know that they are a real life couple made things quite sweet which I definitely liked & the cherry on top was their amazing yet subtle chemistry.
Another reason for which I was convinced to title this review as ‘love is in the air’ was Dr. Asfand’s present to Dr. Zubiya. Asfand can’t stop thinking about her & this was his way of letting her know that she was on his mind but then again even though Zubiya likes Asfand herself, she always finds herself stuck in the past due to which she hesitates in reciprocating the feelings by honestly & openly letting him know what she feels for him. I think now Zubiya will make sure to tell Asfand about her past only to put her heart to ease & to come to conclusion whether she should allow herself to get involved in this relationship or not because everything would now depend on Asfand’s reaction & his opinion regarding Zubiya’s past. Since Zubiya believes in transparency, I am sure this is exactly what she will do where she will tell Asfand everything about her past.
Now coming to the major twist that this episode brought with it, which was Asfand’s encounter with Urooj. Asfand immediately recognized Urooj & it took him back to his brother’s death. I loved loved loved the way they showcased Asfand’s emotional state where he couldn’t take his mind off his brother as he knew Urooj was the one who trapped him but then, he had to compose as well as remind himself that as a doctor, he couldn’t let his personal feelings cloud his judgment, that no matter what, he couldn’t let anything get in the way of treating his patient no matter who he was. Asfand without saying anything gave Urooj a reality check which she needed to let go of the secrets that were buried in her heart. I liked how this entire scenario was short & to the point & without wasting anytime they showed how Urooj confessed everything which then cleared off Daniyal’s name.
To see Usman & his entire family shed tears over the reminder of Daniyal’s painful death was quite heart-wrenching. This was the pain that they were dealing with for so many years but they learnt to live with it & then one fine day, someone came back & resurfaced the pain but the good thing was, everything that happened put their hearts to ease. Usman finally confessed that he was proud of both his sons for different reasons. This scene was quite emotional & touching, more like bittersweet because where I was happy that all the allegations were lifted off Daniyal, I was feeling sad that he died & that his family was deep down still mourning his loss.
Well, before saying anything, I know after such a perfect & emotional episode, no one would want to talk about the ‘glitches’ but honestly speaking, this was one such thing that didn’t let me absorb everything as much as I wanted to as I couldn’t comprehend why the writer & the director didn’t pay attention to detail. In episode 10 (time mark: 23:44) Daniyal’s police officer friend tells him that Urooj doesn’t have a child, she has no parents, she lives in an apartment which she doesn’t own & yes, that she is Dilawar’s girlfriend. Urooj lands herself a job by sharing her sob story that she being a single mother was trying to make a living for her child but then Daniyal’s friend clearly tells him that Urooj was lying, so not sure why they showed that Urooj now had a son who was 15-16 years old? If that was the case, like if Urooj had a son, there was no way that he’d be a teenager because they showed that after Daniyal’s death, only 5 – 6 years have passed, prove of which is Saim & his stagnant age. Also, with this I could be wrong but I am not sure when & where did Asfand see Urooj that he immediately recognized her? Because yes I do understand that he was trying to find her out before leaving for abroad but as far as I remember, he never really saw her & he never knew who she was? With Asfand’s bit I might but wrong but I am not convinced that Urooj had a son who he was a teenager because even if we assume that Urooj had a baby boy after Daniyal’s death, there was no way that he’d be mature enough to be drink driving. Even though I loved this episode, I am saying that again & again but I really wish before changing this track to fit the dramatization, the writer & the director had thought a bit about this aspect because even if we give them a benefit of doubt that may be Urooj wasn’t lying & she actually had a child & Daniyal’s friend’s was wrong but at that time she fled with Dilawar, probably not something that a single mother would do.
Anyways, props to all the actors for portraying each & every emotion to perfection. I just love the feel of this drama & I love how every single actor has done such a commendable job in conveying the emotions of their respective characters, like where they can make us smile, they make us shed a tear or two with them too. If the viewers get so emotionally involved in a story or its characters, it shows that the drama is successful because it speaks to the viewers on a very different level as it strikes the chord & for that I thank the team of Yakeen Ka Safar & all the actors especially. Please share your thoughts about this intense episode of Yakeen Ka Safar.

Bilal Abbas Khan: Some Untold Facts About The Star!
Bilal Abbas Khan is ruling the television screens right now with his magical portrayal of Qasim. He has impressed millions with his performance and people are counting him as the next big thing in the industry. Bilal came on Jago Pakistan Jago recently and told his fans many unknown things about him. Here are few:
- Bilal’s mom wanted him to go into the Army but he was not a fan of the tough training the aspirants have to go through. To escape from that training, Bilal started to act in theatre plays.
2. His first role was that of a girl. Bilal went to an all-boys school, so he was the one chosen to perform the girls part since Bilal looked very innocent and fitted the part. Boys at his school used to bully him on this but he never bothered and always pursued his passion.
3. His favourite actress his Ayeza Khan. Bilal is a super fan of Ayeza. He once shared this with a friend who is a friend of Ayeza too. Later Ayeza Khan sent him a voice note appreciating his work and expressing that she would one day love to work with him. In Bilal’s words, It made his day!
4. Bilal was very nervous on working with Nouman Ijaz. He told that he was insanely star-struck by his presence. But Nouman Ijaz asked him to be comfortable and motivated him to do his best and now we have Qasim in front of us.
5. He told that his father is very supportive of his decisions. His mother, on the other hand, had some reservations when he joined showbiz instead of opting for Army but she is very proud of him now.
Bilal is undoubtedly a great addition to the industry. Let’s wait and see what will be next for his fans after a mesmerizing performance in O Rangreza!
The Rangreza Stars Won’t Marry Actors!
Talking about the most watched shows this season, O Rangreza comes to our minds at once. The drama has managed to hook us from the beginning and people have fallen in love with innocent Qasim and the mysterious Sassi. Both the stars Sajal Aly and Bilal Abbas are ruling our screens right now. While on an interview, they both were asked if they will marry an actor. And their answers were straightforward NOOOs!
Bilal said that he always wanted to be an actor and obviously love his job. But it would be difficult for him to come back home and still talk about the same work environment where he spent the day. He wants a sense of space and a bit free time from what he does all day which won’t be possible if he marries an actress. Bilal is not willing to marry in his family. When asked about why he has so many demands, the actor replied with a witty response ke dimagh bohat ooper chala gaya hai!
Sajal, when asked the same question, said that she wants to marry someone with a more stable and “reputable” (she laughed) job since earlier she said in our society when you are asked about what you do and you say Acting, people say woh to theek hai parr kaam kya karte ho. So our Sassi though she loves showbiz in O Rangreza don’t want to get married to an actor in real life.
Both the stars were thankful to their fans who loved their drama and are appreciating their work. Lets see when will our Qasim and Sassi will find their life partners and will they stand with their statements of not marrying actors. Only time will tell!

Alif Allah Aur Insaan Episode 25 Review – Purposeless!
Ohkay so, this episode of Alif Allah Aur Insaan was quite boring. Even though quite a lot happened in this episode but the way things unraveled was so unconvincing that it really didn’t leave any impact & made it hard to feel for any of the characters!
Nazneen decided to cling onto Basit & Shahzeb stumbled upon them. Obviously, whatever Shahzeb saw was a shocker for him but what convinced him to let go of the love of his life was everything that he heard from Nazneen because she made clear to him that she wanted to be with Basit. I don’t know why but I had a feeling that the entire scene was shot at two different places & was later combined through editing, like Basit & Nazneen were at one place & Shahzeb was at the other because despite the well-thought out editing, that entire scene didn’t have any continuity. I don’t know how to explain but there are some bits in every other scene like some frames which look so random showcasing that the director’s heart is not into this project anymore & he is just ‘filling’ these episodes.
So, Basit took Nazneen to his place & seriously, Nazneen’s attitude with Basit’s parents, his mother in particular was so bizarre. This girl plans on getting married to their son & there she was treating them as her servants. I really do not get the crux of this track, like why didn’t Nazneen become mature? After going through so much, after emotional suffering of not being with Basit, now when she finally got the chance to live her life with Basit, she went back to her old ways in stead of being thankful that she is now going to be with Basit & remorseful that she put everyone through such a trauma. Obviously, I am not expecting her to act all nice because she never was like that but someone who goes through some sort of suffering tends to grow mentally at least. The tiff between Basit’s mother & Nazneen was once again so bizarre, like it was another attempt of filling the episode. So, Basit got the job in this new university & I am sure it will be the same university which Zimal attends, so I am sure they both are going to cross paths & I won’t be surprised if Basit will fall for Zimal, since she is the talk of the town (for reasons I am still trying to figure).
I really don’t get why Zimal is the center of everyone’s attention? I just don’t get it. Yes, she has been introduced to take the story forward but I don’t see anything special in her so I don’t get the hype about her. Shaheer drew her sketch & hell broke loose because Zimal hated the idea of seeing ‘nami’ in her eyes. Shaheer in order to prove his love tore the sketch apart which actually made me sigh with relief because it was such a bad sketch that it actually deserved to rest in the dustbin. Anyways, the phone call that Zimal got from her cousin was once again so so so random? We’re 3 episodes down & the discussion about Zimal’s divorce isn’t over? Why? The funniest bit was seeing Zimal’s mother planning a dine out with her, whereas just an episode ago she was bed-ridden to an extent that her husband was quite worried. Another ‘filler’ scene I tell you!
Now when I look at Shammo, I look at an opportunity wasted. The writer & the director had such an amazing opportunity to turn Shammo into something so big to leave an impact & to show that the one who dreams big can achieve bigger things but now he has turned into this ‘saheli’ who is available 24/7 for Reena, like seriously. Even when Shammo was poor & uncultured, he had so much of personality & charm but now it looks like Imran Ashraf is just ‘acting’ Shammo out, without feeling or owning the character because there’s nothing left for him to portray about Shammo! Yes, Shammo has done well for himself but what is he doing now? Even the scene between Shammo & Reena seemed so superficial, like that entire emotion & spark was missing that we used to see & feel in their scenes in the initial episodes, which is such a downer. It is so so obvious that even the actors are just playing along because the producers are refusing to end this drama.
I really didn’t get why Zimal’s friend telling her that Shaheer loves her came as a news to her because Shaheer confessed his feelings to her just before she got divorced? The entire tantrum that Zimal threw saying people are talking was again so bizarre! Seriously, can someone tell this ‘art student’ a basic thing that in sculpture classes, students are supposed to carry their hair in a bun or any updo, in stead of sporting lose curls which obviously were getting in Zimal’s way & she was trying to get rid of them in an attempt of looking cute which she failed at, & oh, did I say miserably?
Anyways, I just can not believe that the drama which had so much of potential & which promised us such amazing things has turned into a joke where the script is not making sense anymore & the direction has become quite clumsy too, take Malik Hahsmat’s cut paste presence in Amreeka? LOL! Even though for some that scene might not be of any importance but when you watch an episode at 2AM, you tend to pick such things which can make you laugh hysterically! Anyways, for the first time, even though all the original tracks are approaching the closure, while thinking about them I was feeling clueless because like I said, I do not get the crux of it. Oh boy, Nimra Khan’s acting in that outburst scene was so bad (not that she has been acting brilliantly in other scenes), she clearly was struggling & she made it obvious. Kubra Khan’s has conveyed Nazneen’s desperation to perfection & this by the way is not a compliment because that desperation is cringe-worthy which means her acting is cringe-worthy. Someone please cut Shaheer’s shirt a bit loose because it looks like he is so stuffed in that Shalwar Kameez that he can’t breathe, hence the akra-pan. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Alif Allah Aur Insaan.

Ghairat Episode 15 & 16 Review – Slow-Paced
Ghairat has been pretty logical so far with the exception of few characters and the latest development in this episode which made my blood boil! Why would having a daughter be the perfect punishment for Usman?? I am waiting to find out!!! I was expecting him to have a son like himself who would make him realize how wrong he had been and then he might have confessed to his crimes since he isn’t just another man with double standards but he is also a murderer. A son Usman would do everything for and love dearly who would eventually one day treat him the way he treated his mother would be poetic justice! Yes, someone like him would never want daughters since he has no respect for women but then what kind of a “punishment” is that?
Usman’s mother’s character is turning out to be the most annoying character in the play. Although the writer has explained why she is so helpless and why even her daughter’s murder couldn’t change her stance but even then watching her witness such cruelty and not doing much about it is quite frustrating. In the beginning it seemed like her character will gradually undergo a transformation and she will help Saba get stronger but so far she has done nothing but explain how helpless she is. Aani’s character is the only one which gives you hope but it would have been so much better if Saba’s mother played this role in her life. Saba’s bholapan was slightly overdone in these two episodes and there were plenty of flashbacks scenes as well in which Saba thought about Zohaib. The viewers also found out more about Aani’s background which also explained why she was so willing to help Saba. Aani’s advices to Saba were the best part of these episodes.
Saba turned to Kashif for help and instead of going out and looking for Zohaib, he was shown hoping Aani might be thinking about getting Saba married to him. The way Kashif’s likeness for Saba has been shown on screen isn’t very likeable! The reason for this also is that the actor playing Kashif’s role keeps you guessing about his actual intentions! For the longest time, he gave the impression that he might have evil intentions but apparently that is not the case. Zohaib and Saba’s relationship however has been translated on screen in such a way that you can’t help but root for them. Muneeb Butt and Iqra Aziz have acted superbly throughout and their on-screen chemistry makes their scenes work. Saba’s track is also headed towards the right direction and it is definitely good to have Zohaib back.
Overall, these two episodes were slow-paced and some of the scenes could easily have been chopped down. The drama needs to pick up pace and there is a desperate need for some character development.

Mujhe Jeenay Du Episode 5 Review – Powerful Messages
This was another emotional episode of Mujhe Jeenay Du which makes you wonder what happens to girls like Saira in reality when there is absolutely no one who can help them in any way at all. Saira is lucky enough to have at least two people around her who genuinely care for her, they are there to help her out practically and most importantly they make her feel loved. Saira’s bhabi and Yasmin have always showered her with love even though they hadn’t been able to stop the marriage and could not help Saira continue her studies but even then those caring words and the hugs and kisses Yasmin gave Saira today would give someone like her the strength she needed to fulfill her new role. What happens to little girls like Saira who get married to men who are bigger monsters than Naseeb and have absolutely no one to look out for them? The reality of this sick practice hits you hard every time you see Saira’s character on screen.
Naseeb’s character is interesting because it shows a different male mentality. Unlike other men around him he knows the difference between right and wrong yet just like all the other men around him his own needs come before everything else. There is a soft and caring side to his personality but at the same time he is quite capable of becoming a monster. His character goes to show how even a seemingly loving and caring man would become a part of the system because his needs come before everything else. He isn’t like Saira’s father or even like Mohammadu but he isn’t like Yasmin either. The difference between Yasmin and Naseeb is that Yasmin is not afraid to stand against this system and for her helping these women comes before everything else. Yasmin refused to go live with her husband in the city only because she feels the women in the village need her. Naseeb on the other hand is more than willing to compromise on his “principles” if that is what suits his own needs. The variety of characters makes this drama even more interesting. I am glad that Naseeb’s character is not one-dimensional, it has depth which is why it isn’t predictable either.
Saira’s relationship with her “gudda” and Yasmin’s relationship with Saira was yet again the most endearing part of this episode. Saira’s love for her nephew is pure, she will do anything for him but she is not old enough to look after a child therefore she is torn between her love for him and her incapability to deal with the situation. Naseeb expected her to cook for her and iron his clothes just like Bushra used to completely ignoring the fact that she was too young to do all these chores. Watching a grown up man like him relying like that on a little girl was just plain disgusting. Naseeb wanted to put the little boy who worked at his tea stand in school but failed to see that the girl he married was the exact same age! Yasmin’s presence makes a great deal of difference in Saira’s life even though she cannot always protect her. The scene in which she hugs her and educates Saira at the same time was beautiful and poignant scene. The child star playing Saira has done complete justice to her role. The credit for this goes to the director as well because extracting such a brilliant performance from such a young child requires skill. Nadia Jamil owns her role as Yasmin; she is extremely well-suited for the role. Gohar Rasheed has also played his part flawlessly. His character also has novelty to its advantage since he isn’t just the bad guy but his character has different shades.
Mujhe Jeenay Du is turning out to be a drama which definitely strikes the right chords and keeps on giving me a reason to tune into it every week.

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 13 Review – Complicated Yet Intriguing
When it comes to penning down love stories which are so much more than just that, no one can beat Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar. Like every other drama penned down by him TDKKH too is unpredictable and in many ways bold as well. The relationships between all the characters are anything but simple and these complications keep on getting even more confusing with every passing episode. Faris’ character in particular is highly intriguing; it is impossible to guess how he actually feels about all the women in his life right now. His proposal to Zoya was completely unexpected and it seemed like nothing more than another desperate attempt to get back at Maya but Zoya’s reaction had to be the most interesting part of this entire scenario. The most interesting bit was that Zoya just learned why Maya never loved her the way a sister should be loved, that definitely changed a lot of things. The stories about sibling rivalry explained a lot and might also have given Zoya a reason to do something to hurt Maya. Also, their background also explained Maya’s reaction in the previous episode when she saw Faris with Zoya. The only part that was difficult to relate to was that Zoya did not remember any of this. If she was old enough to tell her father that she did well in the exam then she should have had some recollection of those memories unless like her mother said, she decided to store those memories away in her mind.
Lubna’s track is also being given a lot of screen time in these episodes which goes to show that she has a bigger role to play in the picture. Saif was more amused than angry when he got the parcel from Lubna which basically showed that she was another woman in his life for whom he didn’t really care much. Siraj Uncle continued to play cupid and failed at it over and over again yet he didn’t give up! Gradually, Dariya is showing how she actually feels about this entire situation. In tonight’s episode, she clearly stated why getting married to Faris was never an option. The fact that Dariya is convinced that Maya isn’t really out of Faris’ life suggests that Faris still loves her. He is angry and hurt but he might eventually forgive Maya. Dariya is the only person who understands Faris therefore if she is sure that Maya can come back into his life any time then that might just happen!
My favorite scene from tonight’s episode was the last one; the meeting between Faris and Maya was an absolute delight to watch. Faris told Maya how everything had changed after she left but he wasn’t looking for sympathy when he told her that, it was more like making someone aware of their wrongdoings and the repercussions. He also tried to take control of the situation yet again by telling her that they will only meet when it would suit him and that could even mean that they will never meet again. This aspect of Faris’ personality is so relatable; I love the way he is constantly trying to show that he is in control of things when clearly he isn’t! Sami Khan never ceases to impress as Faris, Ayeza Khan continues to translate Maya’s character impeccably on screen and most importantly the director Shahid Shafat has made sure that these beautifully etched-out characters do not get lost in translation. The background score of the drama is also beyond impressive.
The preview of the next episode definitely piqued my interest. I am looking forward to finding out if Faris can really tell Maya that he is getting married to Dariya!

Khamoshi Episode 2 Review- Exploitation At Its Peak!
The pace with which this drama is progressing is commendable. Two episodes down and the story has progressed at a constant speed bringing on the original theme of the play. The director has really done a good job of not wasting any more time on showing the rift between Atif and Sabir or the financial miseries he introduced at the very start. Two new characters were introduced in this episode and they are the people Arsala was shown working for in the promos. He is Arsala’s distant uncle who was in a desperate need of house help since no one in Karachi can tolerate his wife’s tantrums.
Tauqeer Nasir translated the greediness of Sabir perfectly on screen today. The way his eyes light up by having just a glance at 30 thousand rupees showed his mentality. Sabir knows his daughter is not there just to help her bechari chachi but is hired as a maid. His sudden exhaustion with factory’s work and the way whole family starts having halwa puri showed how people in our society exploit the ones who do not complain. Naima is a true evil and the way her mother always refers to her as an inexperienced bacchi is annoying. Shehnaz cares for Arsala but this episode showed how weak and unfair she really is. While one of her daughters is far away, working day and night to put food on their tables; the other one is planning to buy clothes from that money and Shehnaz could not even make her help with household chores. Arsala’s brother is the only character who loves her but he has no say in anything since he is a child.
Amber Khan is playing the beemar chachi Haseena. Her acting was a bit over the top. It looks like she was trying too hard to bring out that evil factor in her voice, though her styling and overall persona showed perfectly well how difficult a woman she is. Atif knows his engagement is broken but to be honest he is not really trying to get Arsala back. He has adopted the easy way of being hungry and laying in bed. His mother is also not making any efforts and seems like a person who doesn’t really care whether his son gets married to her niece or not.
Zara Noor Abbas translated the theme of the show brilliantly on screen. Her Khamoshi towards all the exploitation really portrays what happens to such people in our society who do not fight back and trust too much. She loves her family and trusts her sister who is visibly selfish. Khamoshi shows how the society likes to crush people who care too much and exploit them for their own gains. Iqra Aziz is playing the evil character better than her normal bechari ones. The preview of next episode shows how Arsala’s father will cut her off from the whole family and will make her their personal ATM. Let’s see what happens next and how will they introduce Bilal Khan in the whole scene.
