The movie will reveal Sanam’s excellent acting skills in the Shakespeare adaptation of Measure by Measure.The film will first be showcased at the Cannes Film Festival and later will be released worldwide.
The film is directed by Ahmad Jamal, the Film ‘Rehm’ is based on a Shakespeare play called ‘Measure for Measure.’ The story based on elements of justice, morality and mercy in Vienna and the dichotomy between corruption and purity.
The film stars the talented Sanam Saeed , Sunil Shankar and Rohail Pirzada. The film also stars Sajid Hasan and Nayyar Ejaz .”
Sanam Saeed, shared with the HIP sources that the film “Rehm is British Pakistani collaboration. Ahmed Jamal is a very old friend of my father’s who saw me grow up so I couldn’t say no to his film. He is a well-known documentary maker and works at BBC in London.”

The producers of Raveena Tandon’s film Maatr have confirmed that Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan won’t be appearing in a special music video as planned earlier, reports India Today.
The producer of the film, Anjum Rizvi told reporters, “It would’ve been ideal if we could, but unfortunately at this stage, it’s not happening.”
The filmmakers will now be featuring Raveena’s scene from the film in the music video instead of Rahat’s.
However, speaking at the trailer launch of Maatr, the actress shared that she feels art and culture should not face restrictions.
“As far as I am concerned, I feel art, culture, music have no boundaries. Music is something which flows from within, has no walls, you can’t conceal it. Once the sound, musical notes are out you can’t control it.”
On the other hand, music composer Vipin Patwa fought to keep Rahat’s track ‘Rog Jaane’ for Akshara Haasan’s upcoming film, Laali Ki Shadi Mein Laddoo Deewana while the makers wanted to drop the song to avoid controversy.
Speaking to Mid-Day, Vipin revealed, “I thought replacing his voice would be disrespectful. I managed to convince the makers to retain his version. [There would be room for controversy] if we had recorded the number post September [after the Uri attacks].”

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, the famous singer is facing charges in India under Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA). The relevant enforcement agency has filed a formal case too. It is based on the incident of 13 February 2011 when RFAK and his manager were caught on Delhi airport with 1.25 lakh US dollars. RFAK was later released after initial investigation.
As per FEMA laws in India a passenger can take a maximum of 5000 USD outside India. After three years of investigation, it is determined that RFAK has violated the Indian FEMA law and the authorities have now formally lodged a case against him.
RFAK is in Pakistan these days, it is unclear whether he will pursue the case in India or not.

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s latest Bollywood project is a song called ‘Ishtehar’ for an upcoming Bollywood movie, Welcome To New York. The song is composed by Shamir Tandon and lyrics are penned by Charanjeet Charan. It is Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s duet with Dhvani Bhanushali.
The “Zaroori Tha” singer said in a statement,
“Ishtehar is a beautiful soulful rendition and it was a pleasure to sing to the music of Shamirji and collaborate with Puja Music for this song. It’s great to witness a young girl like Dhvani who has a lovely voice making her debut and sing besides me,”

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is back in the news and again for not paying taxes. Rahat has been accused time and time again for not paying taxes.
The Federal Board of Revenue FBR recovered two million rupees in terms of taxes from the legendary singer. Fbr also has seized his bank account over the non-payment of tax.
Rahat was also accused last year when he did not pay taxes of about three million rupees. Again he had to pay about 3.2 million rupees as tax which he failed to do so and it resulted in cessation of his account.
Not paying taxes is a dilemma of our country. Seeing artists who people love fail to set an example in this regard i sad!
