Pakistani dramas are being criticized these days for their bad quality. Only a few dramas are coming out which get good nods from the public as well as critics. Only a handful of stories are running on Pakistani television right now which are genuinely liked by people and Pinjra is one such thought provoking script.
Pinjra was written by the late writer Asma Nabeel. She was also the writer of Khaani which was a huge blockbuster. The writer lost her life to cancer and could not see the project come to life and be on screen.
Omair Rana who is an important part of the show shared some untold truth about the show’s script. The actor said that he had issues with the script in the beginning. The writer Asma Nabeel was still in the drafting stage when she passed away thus later on the whole team and Najaf Bilgrami who is also the director of Pinjra got together to make some changes in the script that would make everything more tied up for the character he played.
Omair also shared that he loved the concept of the show and wanted to do it full on. He said that if Asma was here she would have done the changes and refinement in the script herself but after her sad demise, Najaf Bilgrami did the job in the best way possible.

The actor was a guest on Ahmad Ali Butt’s podcast and opened up about his spiritual journey. He shared that he was on the verge of becoming an extremist in his teenage years but he left that and then he left religion totally for a few years. He then matured and started reading up on different religions and that is when Islam pulled him back in and the concept of Huqooq ul Ibaad is what pulled him.
This is what he shared:
He also revealed how a visit to the Cave of Hira gave him that much-needed jolt. He was on Hajj as he was accompanying his mother. His mother could not climb a mountain due to her arthritis so he just went on just to see. When he reached the Cave of Hira, he broke down into tears remembering how our Holy Prophet SAW got his first message from Allah there. He then came down reciting Surah Alaq.
Listen to the beautiful story:

It’s not that he wasn’t acting at the time — but his humility is his greatest attribute and what makes him a great human being. Wahaj has also been part of behind-the-camera production team, and that experience keeps them grounded. This, to me, is true humility — it lasts longer and is the key to success. That’s one of the reasons why people love Wahaj, Ahmed, and Bilal Abbas today. Work on your craft, be ambitious, but also be a good human being. One big hit can do wonders for you — like Wahaj’s Tere Bin brought him massive success, and Ahmed Ali Akbar’s Parizaad made him a star.” Here is the link to the video:

In one scene, she was rushing our daughter to the hospital in worry, and I was coming from the office. I asked what had happened, and she said that I was soon becoming a grandfather. Bollywood veteran actor Om Puri’s death is an unsolved mystery. A few months back, Pakistani anchor Amir Liaquat showed a clip and said that Om Puri’s ghost has been spotted in front of his Mumbai residence. In his show on Bol News, Amir Liaquat claimed that Om Puri’s ghost is back to seek revenge.
The video claiming that late actor Om Puri’s ghost has been haunting the area around his Mumbai residence went viral on the internet.
However, Om Puri’s wife Nandita has finally reacted to the video. In an interview with Hindustan Times, she said, “We are getting the intelligence to track it down.”
“Aamir Liaquat is a joker in Pakistan, who has survived a lot of these cheap thrills earlier too. According to my sources, he was given this from somebody in India and there are many people involved who have scripted this whole thing, which is disgraceful and in extremely bad taste. The video was shot in a night vision CCTV camera and we have traced down the building. Of course it’s not where Om lived. He won’t live in a shoddy building, but it’s very close to our house,” she added.
Om Puri is a very seasoned actor from India who recently starred in the Pakistani film Actor In Law which is the highest grossing film among all the Pakistani films released on this Eid. Fahad Mustafa plays the leading role in the film Actor In Law. Om Puri while talking about the film Actor In Law praised Fahad Mustafa so much that even the host was surprised.
Om Puri said that every film has a TRP, a reason why people should watch that film. He said that the TRP of Actor In Law is Fahad Mustafa. He also said that the 3 Khans of India have been ruling the film industry for so many years, no one can take their position but if there is an actor she should feel nervous about then that person should be Fahad Mustafa.
It was on the show Subah Savere Samaa K Saath hosted by Sadia Imam that Om puri reacted in a very funny way when Mehwish Hayat was invited on the stage. Om Puri was already on the stage when Sadia Imam called Mehwish Hayat’s name and Om Puri fainted as if he has seen the world’ most beautiful lady. Later Sadia Imam added more drama to the entire situation by calling herself and Mehwish as “Hoor’s” and told Om Puri that he is in heaven.
The entire things started looking odd and irritating instead of funny. But looking at the positive side it is good that actors from both the countries are developing good relationships and are comfortable working with eachother. It is a pleasure that our stars working in India like Imran Abbass, Mahira Khan, Fawad Khan, Sajjal Ali are being respected and stars coming from India to work in Pakistan like Om Puri, Sara Khan are also reciprocating in a positive way.
Nabeel Qureshi (director) and Fizza Ali Meerza (producer) were behind the popular Pakistani comedy flick, Namaloom Afraad. Now, people are anticipating their upcoming venture, Actor in Law.

Nabeel Qureshi chooses not to share much about the plot. “I’m always evasive about my scripts, it’s just my style of working. I don’t like to talk about things in progress. I will say that it’s a social comedy with a very interesting story line. There’s many aspects a lot of people will be able to relate to.”
He also shared, “We’ll be releasing the trailer soon and hopefully, if things remain stable in the country, the movie will be released on Eid this year for sure.”
Lately Om Puri was invited in a talk show to have a discussion regarding India- Pak controversy and banning of Pakistani artists, where Om Puri gave pro-Pakistan statements. Due to Om Puri’s soft corner for Pakistan and his Positive statements, the people are infuriated and a police complaint has been filed against him on this base that he has made insulting comments against Indian Soldiers,
Complainant Prithvi Maske said, “Referring to the Indian Army and soldiers, he (Om Puri) said that we had not given the invitation to the soldiers of the Indian Army. They joined the army at their will.”
On the show, Om Puri said on Monday: “Did we force them to join the army? My father was also in the army… We are proud of them (soldiers)… I am asking you: Do you want India and Pakistan to become Israel and Palestine?
“I don’t give a damn to Salman Khan or some other Khan… Go to Modiji (Prime Minister Narendra Modi) and cancel their (Pakistani actors’) visas. Prepare 15-20 people as suicide bombers and send them to Pakistan.”
Here’s watch the Video

This one has tons of bad language besides other things so be warned! Here Osman Khalid Butt is criticizing those words which were banned to be used in the SMS by PTA back in 2011.
In this video Osman Khalid Butt and his friends are making fun of Pakistani Dramas by showing what Pakistani drama makers would have done to Hollywood movies if they had remade them and Veena Malik’s program Astaghfaar is also under discussion.

Mahira Khan is a star in the true sense of the word but unlike many other stars who do not even want to talk about the days when they started their career Mahira Khan proudly shared one of the videos from her VJ days. Mahira Khan started her career as a VJ but then was spotted by producers and she started her acting career, after that there was no looking back for this talented performer.
This video is an introduction to Mahira Khan’s show Weekend With Mahira which used to air on AAG back in 2008. The Pakistani film industry began its revival journey with Khuda Ke Liye and we got Iman Aly as our main leading lady through it. She looked gorgeous and performed so well that people still remember her role. Iman Aly has since been a part of Bol, Mah e Mir and Tich Button and she knows how to create magic on screen. She is still the first choice for every filmmaker and gets every big film’s offer whenever it is going into production.
Iman Aly is also an actress who has been asked to work in Bollywood multiple times but she worked very selectively throughout her career and rejected many big films in Bollywood. Iman has always emphasized that she does not care about working and being a part of the news all the time. She does not think in terms of numbers and fame and follows her own path.
An old interview of Iman Aly with Bollywood trade analyst Komal Nahta from the time of Bol’s release is going viral and she was then the same as she is today though she was active in the industry more than she is now. She had said sitting at an Indian channel that all Bollywood films have kissing and mini-skirts and she does not feel comfortable doing that thus she does not feel like Indian directors will work with her.
This is what she said:
People are loving how Iman has been very straightforward with her priorities and did not bow down just because she was sitting on an Indian show:
Imad Wasim is a famous cricketer who is in the news not for his work but for his personal life. He was married to Sannia Ashfaq whom he divorced just two months back. The couple shared three kids together. While Sannia was pregnant with their third baby, rumours of Imad’s affair with Nyla Rajah went viral. The rumours were denied by the parties at the time.
Imad Wasim has now gotten married to the same influencer after two months of divorcing his first wife. He has not even met his third child and threw a lavish celebration for the nuptials. The wedding has brought some old statements of Imad to the surface and the internet is shocked by the hypocrisy.
In an old interview with his first wife, Imad Wasim is saying that he has never looked towards anyone else since before his marriage. He added that performing Umrah also brought a huge change in his life and they are even more stable in their marriage. The resurfaced video has shocked the internet.
The internet is calling out Imad Wasim’s hypocrisy. One user wrote, “Pakistanis do all kinds of haram deeds in a halal way.” Another added, “This is how men are.” One said, “The nature never changes.” This is the reaction:
